Epic Bridges certified resources to support the Epic HIS

Women’s College Hospital (WCH), Toronto, Ontario has contracted with MDI Solutions to provide Epic Bridges certified integration analysts, who will be tasked with completing multiple interfaces to enable the Epic HIS go-live. The integration team will utilize the MD Link interface engine to connect internal and external systems with WCH’s Epic HIS via its Bridges interface gateway.

WCH decided to discontinue its best-of-breed software approach in favor of the Epic ambulatory system. Wanting to maximize the effectiveness of the Epic system, WCH acquired the MD Link integration engine from MDI Solutions to manage connectivity with third-party systems. With a go-live date set for late January, WCH determined that the Epic implementation would benefit by engaging resources with expertise in Epic implementations. WCH selected MDI solutions based on their recent work interfacing systems with Epic (using MD Link) at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and Group Health Centre, and their proven track record of exceeding customer-driven integration objectives.

MDI Solutions’ integration resources will work on site with the Women’s College application analysts to review their data workflow and design, build and test the required interfaces.
