Summit Orthopedics, Ltd., Woodbury, MN, has selected MDI Solutions to develop 4 separate interfaces with a 3 month go-live timeline.

Summit Orthopedics approached MDI Solutions late in 2009 to assist them in reviewing integration engine software, with a goal of developing 4 interfaces by April 1, 2010. The interfaces were required to connect GE Centricity’s EMR with Allscripts’ EMR and the Fuji eRad system.

With a contract in place effective December 31, 2009, MDI will assign two HL7 Interface Analysts with the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and design tasks for the development of each interface system
  • Perform programming in the development and implementation of interface systems with emphasis on minimizing support and maintenance requirements
  • Implement interfaces in Summit’s interface environment ensuring integrity of data and minimizing disruption to customers
  • Provide consultative support for maintenance of the interfaces, as required by Summit IT Services support staff
