Enhancing DICOM connectivity

MDI Solutions have reached a milestone in the development of their MD Link Integration Engine software.  Along with the enhanced DICOM ‘plug-in’ adaptor, the MDI development team has built or enhanced a number of key features of MD Link over the last year, furthering its position as one of the most versatile and easy-to-use interface engines in healthcare.

Based on their ongoing work with Sectra (www.sectra.com) and the PACS migration project in Northern Ireland, MDI have enhanced their DICOM adaptor in MD Link to include worklist processing. Modality worklists can now be queried from a DICOM server based on attributes like modality type, date etc. The matched modality entries can be then output to a DICOM file and a HL7 order message can be constructed out of the DICOM file containing the modality entry.

MDI have also developed or enhanced other MD Link adaptors including:

MDI Solutions continues to expand their capabilities integrating PACS and RIS, and plan to exhibit at this year’s RSNA conference in Chicago – http://www.rsna.org/.
