Deploying the Ontario Wait Time Information Strategy (WTIS) project

MDI Solutions is playing a key roll in deploying the Ontario Wait Time Information Strategy (WTIS) project. WTIS is a government funded project with a mandate to provide (by December, 2006) a comprehensive system that monitors wait times and that works toward ensuring Ontarians receive timely and appropriate access to selected health services. MDI technical resources have been contracted to work directly with the WTIS project team to coordinate the required data linkages with Ontario hospitals. Part of MDI?s responsibility includes managing connectivity and data integrity with the hospitals. MDI resources are also working directly with a number of the hospitals to manage the connectivity and data exchange on the hospital side. These hospitals include St. Joseph’s Health Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie and Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa.
