Emerald Health Information Systems Ltd., Ottawa, Ontario, a long-standing MD Link vendor partner, will activate the newly developed security feature (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL) of MDI Solutions’ integration engine, MD Link™, to support their latest implementation.
Emerald Health approached MDI Solutions in 2008 with a requirement to provide enhanced security and data integrity to support their software implementation with the Department of Health in New Brunswick. Emerald had already successfully used MD Link in a number of their implementations and now needed to deliver additional security. MDI’s development team met with Emerald Health’s technical resources to review the SSL requirements, and through the rapid ‘plug-in’ development capability of MD Link, they were able to add this new function to MD Link in a matter of days.
