UVA Health, Charlottesville, VA has selected the MD Link interface engine software from MDI Solutions to assist with equipment tracking and data integration.
With a need to monitor and mange the distribution of infusion pumps at University Health’s facilities, MD Link was installed to provide HL7 connectivity between their Epic EHR and Alaris medical equipment. MDI integration analysts assisted with the ADT and Medication Orders inbound data feeds to the infusion pumps and subsequent Results data processing to an OBDC database. Following a remote 1-day training session, UVA’s technical staff were equipped with the tools to maintain the initial interface and set up additional connections.
